Previous Events Tossin for the kids 4.  What a beautiful Day. That seems to be a theme for TKEN events. October 9, 2011 at the Cubby Bear Wrigleyville. Our 4th annual bags tourney was a great success. Thanks to all who attend and or supported the event. Check out our sponsors as they really stepped up to help us this year. Our goal is to keep that number in the left column growing. Your help on the 9th enriched us and keeps us moving forward. This is the crew that helped put it together. Oh and a special thanks to Becky and of course Johnny at the Cubby Bear. They do many special things for us each year and we appreciate it. There were beautiful and inspirational paintings displayed in the gardens and in every room of the home. A great chance to experience the healing and therapeutic aspects of Khrysalis art work. For those who were there, it was a magical time. The 200 paintings spread throughout the grounds and the home were admired, explored and purchased. It was a very enriched vibrant day. We met old friends, made new ones and shared stories. We even worked with plants. August 20, 2011, a day that many children will remember. Well, we hope the TKEN families and their kids will remember. A rainy day did not keep the kids away. 10 children came to the clinic at Mainfreight USA and received many different pieces of durable medical equipment. The storm allowed us time to talk to the family after fitting their child with the equipment. Here are a few pictures to show the joy of the day!!
Miles for Smiles 2011.
May 1, 2011 was a magical day. Good weather, ready runners and some great running times. From the 5k to the 10k it was a truly enjoyable day for all the walkers/runners. As always, our friends at Miles for Smiles really put together a tremendous event. Here's hoping for great weather and low times for all next year.
